ISO 45001 - Occupational Health & SafetyISO 45001 - Occupational Health & Safety

ISO 45001 sets out the minimum requirements for Occupational Health and Safety Management best practice in the work environment.

ISO 45001 includes elements of the quality aspects of ISO 9001 and some of the environmental components of ISO 14001 to embrace Occupational Health and Safety requirements for Businesses and Organisations of every kind.

ISO 45001 covers areas including Risk Assessment, Hazard Management, Performance and Monitoring, Training and emergency preparedness.

As the Owner, Senior Manager or Director of a Business or Organisation, you are now legally obliged to ensure the safety of your staff, customers and general public, in and around your working environments.

The Health and Safety (Offences) Act 2008 came into force on the 16th of January 2009 and marks a new era in health and safety where any individual within an organisation can now be sent to prison for breaches of health and safety law. A custodial sentence is now a feasible penalty for many health and safety offences where previously only a fine could have been imposed.

Implementing an ISO 45001 Management System and gaining certification to the requirement of the standard will show your client's, contractors and staff that you take Health and Safety seriously and will support you to dramatically reduce the risk of any incidents that may arise.

We look forward to working with you.
